Mysore Airport Proposal

According to the Deccan Herald, the state govt is planning to develop the Mysore Airport to allow small to medium sized aircraft. If I remember correctly, the current airport is near Nanjangud.

1. Govt to provide free water and electricity. Stupid idea because the airport should pay commercial rates as with any commercial venture
   
2. Completion to be 2 years from the day land is handed over. Stupid idea again as we don't know when the land can be acquired.

Potential impact could be

1. Improved tourism esp. during Dasara.
2. More business esp. services sector
