I used to have an RSS subscription to Deccan Herald via Newsisfree. Deccan Herald itself doesn't have a feed. But whenever I clicked on any item in the feed, it would first take me to newisfree and then transfer to DH. Everytime DH gives a 404. That's when I decided to do away with my feed. Now I visit DH the old fashioned way - by actually visiting the website.
Another site that has a twist to the RSS feed is wikipedia. For some reason, I get only very few articles. These are either new articles or updated articles. Either way the articles are fairly large. What I do want is an RSS feed of the front page. Everyday, the page changes and satisfies the trivia junkie in me.
